Dr Peter Atkins is a fellow of Lincoln College, Oxford and emeritus profess or physical chemistry since his retirement in 2007. His research was originally in theoretical chemistry, but most of his time has been spent writing books, which now number over 70. They include the world-leading textbook Physical chemistry and several books on science for the general public, including Molecules, Galileo’s finger, On being, and Conjuring the universe. He continues to write and to lecture worldwide and is a patron of Humanists UK and a ‘distinguished supporter’ of the Rationalist Association.
Dr Jonathan McLatchie is a professor of biology at Sattler College in Boston, Massachusetts. He has participated in more than 30 moderated debates and has lectured at venues across Europe, North America and South Africa, promoting an intelligent, rational and evidence-based Christian faith. He is also the founder of the Apologetics Academy, a ministry that seeks to equip Christians and challenge sceptics with the evidence for the truth of the gospel.
